Animist Singing Project in Georgia

Ana and Ancestors is a singing project that seeks to remember and rehabilitate ancient Georgian indigenous ways of creating. With the “Animist Singing Project in Georgia”, Ana and Ancestors travel through pre-Christian sacred places and restore ancient ancestral knowledge that has been diminished and overwritten by layers of colonialization and imperialization. It explores pre-colonial practices of listening and relational tending with the environment.

Ana and Ancestors created a crowdfunding campaign for the “Animist Singing Project In Georgia” to set the foundation for acquiring the costs of return and to visit Georgian sacred places.
